Cuya alma al infierno ha sido lanzada.2
Su dorada juventud hace tiempo pasó,3
Su plateada madurez se desvaneció igual de rápido,4
Una edad de hierro finalmente llegó;5
Es vano contar su carácter,6
Los diversos destinos que le sucedieron,7
En qué año murió, cuándo resucitará,8
Solo sabemos que aquí yace.9Here lies the body of this world,1018
Whose soul alas to hell is hurled.11
This golden youth long since was past,12
Its silver manhood went as fast,13
An iron age drew on at last;14
'Tis vain its character to tell,15
The several fates which it befell,16
What year it died, when 'twill arise,17
We only know that here it lies.
